 Our group is making a Snickers commercial. These commercials usually entail someone acting drastically different from their normal selves eating a Snickers bar and turning into how they normally are. The predominant catchphrase of these commercials is “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry”. 

  • - The people in these videos usually act out hostilely until they consume a Snickers bar. 
  • The supporting characters are very nonchalant about this person acting out, creating a sense that they know a Snickers bar will cure any ill behavior or any out of sync characteristics being shown by the person who is not themselves.
  • The commercials usually include the focal character aggressively ripping off the top of a Snickers bar while also showing the logo and taking a huge bite out of it. 
  • The camera usually cuts to the person who gave them the candy bar as they ask “better?” Then the camera cuts back to the original angle to the person who ate the bar responding as their normal self with a confident, “better 
  • The commercials usually end with a sequence of elements in a Snickers bar (ie. Peanuts, caramel, etc.) being coated in chocolate appetizingly and cut in half revealing another very common catchphrase, “Snickers Satisfies, there in solidifying the claim that Snickers bars are that one easy thing to correct behavior and/or situations that are out of the ordinary. 
  • These commercials mainly have real credible actors playing the lead roles which offers a sense of credibility to the product itself.
