And Here I Thought I Was A Photographer

I had hoped the rescheduling and complications had ended, but it seems this project is as cursed as the Victim starring in it. After the photograph mix-up, my partner helped me buy new Polaroid film so as to follow the original plan. With the camera restocked, I set out with my friend to take the necessary photos. There were many ideas thrown around, and a budget of 20 pictures, but I quickly found that our environment wasn't ideal for Polaroids. The setting sun and cloudy sky made the photos much too dark, which was only discovered after around the sixth photo was taken. I showed my group to many different locations around my apartment complex but the darkness remained. When most of the pictures were taken, with little success, I pointed out a road miraculously still fairly bright that may provide a proper shooting environment. This hypothesis was proven false after the first photo, but it was slightly better. I also suggested a photo through my kitchen window, but that came out worse than the others. Another idea was to take pictures in front of the road signs around, such as Stop Signs and an arrow meant to direct traffic. These signs proved to be excellent symbolism for the Stalker's story. The stop signs are a clear sign that the Stalker should cease her behavior before it got out of hand. Additionally, the arrow showed two possibly paths the Stalker could have chosen in life, but the arrow settled on the Victim. This shows the Stalker choosing to follow the Victim and eventually murder her. We settled on pictures near the stairs, as the stairs had to be well lit for the residents. These photos came out alright, and fit the theme of the location, so I would call it a success. However, the best photo taken was while me and my partner were walking back to my apartment to regroup and she took a close up picture casually while I wore a suspicious and confused expression. This picture turned out the brightest and most clear, so it was chosen to be the highlighted photo for the final scene in our video. Before Sofia left to film at her own house, I gave her an apron to borrow for the Stalker kitchen scenes. The apron was white with a red heart pattern on it, which perfectly fit the theme of the music video and the blood stains would be easy to make out on a mostly white background. Our new plan is to film the remaining shots on Friday and edit over the weekend to turn in our project on Monday. This is because someone who agreed to help with filming had to cancel last minute and it was too late for either of us to meet up.
